Bruce Lee's 80th B-day to reveal new stories

NBA icon and actor Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is set to commemorate the 80th birthday of his friend, the late Bruce Lee.

NBA icon and actor Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is set to commemorate the 80th birthday of his friend, the late Bruce Lee, by sharing new stories about their friendship.

Abdul-Jabbar appeared on screen in the classic 'Game of Death' (1978) along with martial arts legend in cinema, Bruce Lee.

He will honor the 80th birthday of his friend by sharing new stories about their friendship and announced on social media that he would have a conversation with Lee's daughter, Shannon.

"For all of my and his fans, we have a very special surprise for everyone to commemorate Bruce’s 80th birthday tomorrow. For the 1st time ever, his daughter Shannon Lee & I are going to talk in-depth about her father and share some special memories," Abdul-Jabbar said via Twitter.

Bruce Lee died in 1973 at the age of 32.

Last year, Abdul-Jabbar and the Lee family slammed Quentin Tarantino for the wrong portrayal of the Hollywood star in ‘Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood’.

The Muslim actor has also been a regular contributor to discussions about issues of race and religion. When asked about being Muslim, he said, "I don't have any misgiving about my faith. I'm very concerned about the people who claim to be Muslims that are murdering people and creating all this mayhem in the world. That is not what Islam is about, and that should not be what people think of when they think about Muslims."

In the attached video, you can hear the conversation between the NBA icon and Shannon Lee.
